Keep Shady Shores Beautiful Events
June- Back to Garza for Round 2
June 24, 2023, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm we will be cleaning up the greenspace at the end of Garza. Just past the gate, and before you enter, USACE property is where we will be. Cleaning up this area will provide a small safe greenspace to access trails on USACE property.
Parking: In the school parking lots. DO NOT PARK on GARZA!
What to Bring: Tools to help clear brush 2in or smaller, Protective Clothing from snakes, scratches and the environment, and community spirit!
Volunteers Needed:
Go-Getters: a few drivers to help people get from the school parking to the work site
Brush Clear-ers: those willing to help clear the brush from the area
Sponsors Needed:
A contractor with a chipper. We would like to use what we clear as mulch for the area.
Dumpster- for large trash and debris
May's theme is to focus on trails!

2023 Shady Shores -SPRING CLEAN- Great American Clean Up
The Great American Clean-up is an ongoing yearly event from January 16 - May 12, 2023. During that timeframe, KSSB encourages the Shady Shores community to Spring Clean Shady Shores through a variety of events.
February 15 -Clean Up event along West Shady combined with the Mayor's Walk
March -Keep Texas Waterways Clean- March 22, Clean Up event Big Sandy lakefront and South Shady Shores roadways along the bridges.
April- Don't Mess With Texas Trash Off- April 22, Household Collection and Arbor Day event at Town Hall.
