COVID-19 UPDATE- updated 09.18.2020

The Town of Shady Shores is aware of the risks of exposure to the virus known as COVID-19 coronavirus and we are monitoring the situation closely with our local and state officials.  We are currently open for business.  In the interest of public safety we ask that you limit personal visits to Town Hall.  Most town business transactions can be taken care of online or by phone. This includes, building permits, all types of payments, court, and solid waste transactions.  If you are unsure, please contact us at (940) 498-0044 to discuss.  Persons visiting town hall must wear a mask and have their temperature taken.  Town Staff is here and available to assist you.   You may drop your payment off in the white drop box located at the front of Town Hall.  See the following information and links below to obtain important information.  We will keep you updated through the website, Facebook and E-Blast information.  

According to the Center for Disease Control the best way to prevent illness is to avoid exposure to the virus:

  • Clean your hands often
  • Avoid Persons who are sick
  • Avoid Close Contact with others
  • Stay Home if you are sick
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Clean and Disinfect
  • Wear a facemask if you are sick

Call your doctor: If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice.
